This is a high quality, low cost check valve that is usable for all sorts of gas and liquid applications, including automotive, shop, experimentation, science etc. The check has 3/16" barbed fittings, for use with 3/16" inside diameter, hose or tubing. The check valve measures ~.75 inches (~3/4") in diameter and it is ~1.7" (~1 11/16") long.
The check valve has a Kynar (PVDF) body and a Viton check-poppet. Kynar is a high performance engineering plastic with outstanding resistance to chemicals, including all automotive fluids. Kynar is rated for temperatures up to 275° F. The Viton seal material has similar chemical resistance and higher temperature ratings. As with most plastics; the check can be used at higher temperatures with lower pressure ratings. Kynar has a rated melting temperature of 332° F.
The check valve is rated for vacuum service from 2-29" Hg. and pressure from 1-150 psi; the opening pressure is actually quite a bit less than 1 psi. It is possible to seat and unseat the check just by inhaling and exhaling through it. This is a very useful item at a very reasonable price. These check valves are brand new.
