This is a used "twin leg" lanyard which has never been deployed. It meets North American safety standard ANSI as well as CSA standards. It was made in 2001 by MSA (Mine Safety Association) and has a length of 6' undeployed / 9.5' deployed and an arrest shock capacity is 900 pounds. The model name is Sure-Stop and the number is W40400206LS. The maximum user weight is 310 pounds. There are to two double locking LS snap hooks rated at 5000 pounds for attaching to the man harness and one for attaching to the safety line, as well as two steel loops sewn into the polyester straps. There is an inspection tag on this unit indicating it passed a 2003 inspection by the large industrial construction firm which origionally owned it. It has not been used since then. This lanyard was part of a larger purchase of identical units. The manufacturer's labels have wear and are only partially readable on most of these. Should this been an impotant issue, please let me know on purchase and I will make sure you get one with legible writing.
This is an industruial surplus piece which was sold as a result of contract completion rather than safety concerns. It is in good shape.
