New Home Model 532IN VERY NICE CONDITION
Industrial Strength New Home Model 532, serial number: 64900, built in 1961. New Home 500 series: High Shank, Oscillating Hook, Class 15 Bobbins, 15 x 1 Needle. Very nice, well cared for unit. Machine shows well with just average wear and tear for a machine of this age (normal deck scratches and a few paint chips), and has a beautiful shine. New Home dates back to the 1860's and has been making sewing machines as long as any other company out there, so you know these are built to last. All steel body with steel gearing, no cheap plastic gears in this baby. Machine has been cleaned and oiled with Authentic Singer Machine Lube and has had the tolerances and timing checked and is perfect. 6 to 30 stitches per inch with Pushbutton Reverse and ZigZag. Fully working Zigzag as seen by the samples. Powerful 1.0 amp motor. Brand new cords, and nice condition original foot Controller. Working light. I am including a comparable brand Zigzag manual on CDrom in .pdf format. This will guide you through the process of threading the upper needle thread as well as filling the bobbin and selecting the right needle and tension settings for the job at hand. It really makes sewing like a pro easy. Most importantly, it will show you exactly how to lube and maintain your machine so that it will last another 47 years. This machine is 100% ready to go, right out of the box. Everything needed to sew, including needle and thread, will be included in the package. Here is a sample of some Upholstery Cording I did on this machine. A little bit of practice on this machine, and you can do these too. It's fairly easy. First, you take a small strip of your Material and wrap it around a stretch of cording rope, and sew it tight with the included Special Zipper/Cording foot. Then, blanket that in two more layers of your Material and sew it tight against the Cord once more. Then trim your excess, and you should have a nicely corded piece. With this machine and the included attachments, you will be able to do your own Upholstery work like a Pro with just a few hours of practice.
