We picked up a large quantity of BTL Western Electric color observational standards at the recent
They may be used as a low cost method to calibrate photometers and spectraphotometers, for visual
subjective checks, for industrial quality control, or to adjust and standardize computer monitors and
A few of the standards include attached chrominance and luminance values to 0.01 percent accuracy
as shown in the image. But many are not labeled. Some are in the opaque black envelopes shown;
others are in an opaque silver mylar foil package.
All have been carefully and professionally cared for and most have seen zero use. These typically measure
2-1/4 x 3-1/2 inches by 3/16 inch thick.
