1 pound of High Gloss Clear Polyester TGIC powder coating. Please note that this is a clear powder, not a silver or chrome or steel color. Made in the USA. Virgin powder, not recycled or reclaimed powder.
Gloss: Approx. 90% Gloss @ 60 degrees (ASTM D-523-94)
Impact resistance: 120 in-lb direct, 120 in-lb reverse (ASTM D-2794-93)
Recommended bake: 10 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit metal temperature.
Exterior durability: Good UV resistance. Suitable for outdoor use and exposure to sunlight.
Quantity: 2 lb (0.907 kg) Larger quantities sold at a discount.
This is a beautiful powder with a very smooth surface. According to the manufacturer, this powder was developed for clear coating automobile wheels, so it was developed to be very durable against the elements. The picture shows a piece (1" OD, 2" length) of polished aluminum pipe coated with this powder.
We use dual 4 mil thick resealable poly bags (thick plastic 'zip-lock' type bags) for 8 mils of protection.
