This is a used Kulicke & Soffa Model 1470-2 Series B automatic wedge bonder, 0.625 x 0.625" table travel, 0.7-2 mil wire, up to 4 bond stitching, and up to 280 bond wires/program. This is similar to a 1470-1 system but with the Model 835-4 pattern recognition system as indicated by the 5 boards to the right of the computer rack and the extra power supply in the computer cabinet. This sytem has the 1470-100-0 missing wire detector, RCA pattern recognition camera 00835-1031-000, crank-style z drive, model 4320 ultrasonic generator (settings for bond1 and bond2), floppy disk drive (5 1/4"), Sanyo VM5409 video monitor, B+L stereozoom 4 microscope, and fiber-optic illuminator. The work holder is adjustable for various DIP packages and is unheated. I could not find a specification for Z motion (the standard is listed as 100 mil, which I believe is for a cam-operated system). I measured the z motion as 200mil using a dial indicator and manually moving the z crank from low to high limit with power off. It also comes with 2 operator manuals (one is more complete) and 3 extender cards (for RAM/ROM, pattern recognition crate, and MPU crate). The system does NOT have the pin theta auto focus option. The backup battery for program storage needs replacing. The bond tool is missing or broken off, the bond head/transducer horn look good. The oblique illuminator was working but burned out during testing, fiber optic lamp has a new bulb. There is a small tool included that I believe is for setting the bond tool height. Power requirements are 120V 60hz 20A, you will need an outlet strip as there are numerous separate power cords. Overall condition is very good,, a few exposed metal parts show light surface rusting. I believe the unit is complete (covers, panels, power supplies, external components, etc with the exception of some special servicing tools listed in the manual , e.g. the stage lubrication syringe).
