This listing is for one Pneumatic operated drill unit. It is really neat in that it can be mounted to your machine (lather, mill, etc) and do another operation without removing the work. The user mounts the back to a solid frame and the air activates both the drill spindle and the "Adjustable Hydrolic Feed Control" letting you control the rate of travel. The unit has manual stops that the user sets to control the depth it advances to. You need to get a drill chuck that threads to the spindle. (the large cylinder is the spindle and the feed control is the shiny small cylinder) This listing is for one that is fixed at 1,100 RPM's. I got them from the estate of a master machinest and they were used in industry. I don't know where but before he got them they were removed from machinery and tested. Many have the tags from that testing. You can attach them to many machines or make a frame and jigs to hold work that you intended to work on.
When they are activated the spindle begins to turn and the chuck you mouinted to the end of the spindle starts to decend at the feed rate you have set it to. When it hits a pre-set stop that is adjustable itretracts and waits for the nest activation.
ATTN Shooters: These may be set up to precisely trim brass cases with ease and fast too. Mount the unit to desend in a short stroke into the case trimming it a tad and retract. No tired arms but nice work.
These have many applications and I have listed others at different RPM's. Mill a flat drill a bleed hole, do secondary operations, grind out a bad part number, etc. These sell for $1,200.00 new. and are made to last. Made by Cooper, Buckeye, IR etc.
