This roll set came out of a slitter sheeter, and was used to cut continuous webs into shorter lengths (sheets). The sheeter uses a replaceable metal blade against an anvil roll to pressure cut the web. The rolls are not in contact except during the cut. The speed of the rollers are controlled relative to the web speed to allow different sheet lengths.
This set has a cutting roll (knife holder), an anvil roll, bearings for each, drive gears for each. Roll diameters are about 6" diameter, drive shaft diameter is 1.25".
