The Infra-Red Strobe Unit is a miniaturized pulsating infra-red strobe light which is invisible except when viewed with night vision equipment. It clips directly to a 9-volt alkaline battery (not included) and emits light flashes in a non-visible wavelength. The powerful infra-red flashes can be seen through clothing, deep foliage, and even thin cardboard. Applications include vehicle tails, tagging personnel in tactical situations, package identification and tracking, identification of boats, aircraft, landing zones, etc. It can be observed from up to two miles away. Forty pulses per minute.
