This basic meter was produced by Weston since the 1800's and originally built with a wooden face.
This unit is made of molded phenolic plastic, one of the earliest commercial plastics with excellent dilectric properties.
The visual appeal of this ruggedly constructed meter is immediately evident. It is a bit surprising to realize that the functionality is enhanced by the well laid out panel and overall elegant form.
The special Zero adjust screw is nearly hidden as it is worked into the company logo and emblem. Clever designs are common to these old Weston collectors items. These added touches adds to the overall appeal of the machine. Masterfully conceived, beautifully executed, this is another of Weston's best designs.
The wooden case sets off the extraordinarily well made and rugged meter with no noticeable defects.
The unit shows little wear although it obviously has served its owners well. It seems to be completely intact. (see photos) Quite amazing for 55 years of service!
The unit is untested but appears to be in excellent condition. Being without operators manual, no testing was attempted.
This is an excellent speciman of the Weston genre.
