This very nice micrometer used to belong to my father so I believe it dates at least to the 1950's. It's stamped "Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co.-Providence, R.I. - No. 19" on it. It is in perfect working order. It measures 5 inches overall when opened fully as shown in the photo. It does have some minor tarnishing and the reverse side has some scratches as shown in the photo, all consistent with age and use. A very nice quality vintage tool.
