How does a VDF pump work? The variable performance of the VDF pump is achieved by increasing the annular gap between the venturi nozzle and the diffuser. Rotating the diffuser section counter-clockwise will increase the opening, allowing more compressed air to flow through the unit and increasing both the vacuum flow and the vacuum level. The result is a variable vacuum pump that can be adjusted to meet an application's exact requirements.

1. Power the unit by supplying proper air pressure (psi) to the air supply port [A].
2. Loosen the Jan Nut [B] so that the unit can be freely adjusted.
3. Adjust the throat [C] until the appropriate or desire vacuum level ("Hg.) or vacuum flow (CFM) is reached.
4. Re tighten the Jam Nut [B] to set the VDF unit to your custom settings.
