The Zap Checker 180 is a rugged hand held radio frequency detector that spans 10 MHz to over 4.5 GHz. It uses state of the art components designed for wireless communication products, this gives the Model 180 a unique sensitivity which allows it to detect weak signals at ambient, baseline levels.
The best broadband RF Receiver/Meter.
1. Superb sensitivity, enabling the detection of ambient signal levels and all transmissions that exceed that level.
2. Adjustable sensitivity control of more than 20 dB.
3. Broadband detection capability spanning 10 MHz to over 4.5 GHz.
4. Accurate analog meter display, dual mode linear or logarithmic.
5. Wide dynamic range, 60 dB in logarithmic mode.
6. On meter LED display allowing night and distance viewing as well as pulse detection.
7. An intensity-modulated silent vibrator that gives variable vibration intensity depending upon the signal strength. This is a switch-enabled feature.
8. Fixed internal antennas for repeatable measurements.
9. Small physical size, fits in your hand, fits in your pocket.
10. Long battery life, 80 hours with 2 AA batteries.
I have used the Model 180 for many years now. I use these units everyday in the field and they prove their usefulness every day. When you need to track down an RF source it is the first tool to reach for. The wideband response and superb sensitivity will sniff out most RF source.
If you have any questions please email and ask them now. If you have any questions about the specifications or operation of the Model 180 I am more than happy to help.
