The MISCO 10430VP Brix Refractometer displays readings on the BRIX scale from 0 to 30 Brix. Brix is a unit of measure which is related to the sugar (sucrose) content of a sugar solution. When testing industrial fluids or non-sugar solutions you can create a calibration table or graph for comparing the Brix scale readings to actual known concentrations or properties of your fluids.
These handheld refractometers have superior optics for a brighter, sharper image than any other refractometer. Razor sharp shadow lines improve the precision and accuracy with which readings can be taken. A light-weight polymer body increases impact resistance when the refractometer is subjected to harsh working environments. The sealed, waterproof construction keeps the optics clean and free of condensation.
MISCO Refractometers come equipped with the patented ViewPoint Illuminator, a light source with a self-contained power supply that provides extra illumination for the scale inside the instrument and improves the contrast and accuracy of the reading. The refractometer may be used with or without the ViewPoint. The long-lasting power supply has a TEN YEAR shelf life.
